PC Group Celebrates a Year of Compliance Excellence

It’s been a landmark year for PC Group. Across our brands we’ve undergone three major external audits from national regulatory bodies and achieved outstanding results in every one.

Together, these audits covered some of our core operations, including Standard and Enhanced DBS Checks, Basic DBS Checks, and our DVLA Licence Checking System. Each audit was completed with no recommendations for improvement, confirming that compliance remains at the heart of everything we do.

Three Audits, One Standard of Excellence

The first audit was conducted by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for our Standard and Enhanced DBS Checks. This process applies to Registered Bodies like Personnel Checks and TaxiPlus, ensuring all checks are completed in line with the Police Act 1997 and the DBS Code of Practice.

The DBS then carried out a second audit, this time reviewing our procedures for Basic DBS Checks. This level of check, which can be undertaken by both Registered Bodies and Responsible Organisations, assesses how effectively we manage applications, protect data and ensure eligibility.

Finally, our DVLA audit evaluated how our systems handle driver licence data, checking for compliance with the DVLA’s strict standards on accuracy, security and information management.

Passing all three audits in the same year is an exceptional result, reflecting not just technical compliance but a culture of consistency, care and professional integrity across every area of the Group.

A Testament to Our People and Processes

Chloe Cook, Group Head of Compliance, explained:

“Passing these audits demonstrates that our processes are robust, compliant, and reliable across multiple areas of scrutiny.

Our customers can have complete confidence in the integrity and reliability of the services we provide. These results also help reduce risk, ensure regulatory alignment, and offer added assurance that all data and processes are handled professionally and securely.”

PC Group has seen significant growth in recent years — expanding our services, teams and customer base across multiple sectors. Despite that growth, our commitment to compliance, transparency and operational excellence has never wavered.

Jack Mellor, CEO of PC Group, commented:

“The Group has grown rapidly over the past few years, but one thing that’s never changed is our focus on doing things properly.

These results are a testament to the teams behind both brands — people who care deeply about maintaining standards, protecting data, and delivering a service our customers can rely on. Growth is important, but it means nothing if you compromise on integrity — and I’m proud that we haven’t.”

Why It Matters

For the organisations that rely on us — from schools and care providers to councils and fleet operators — these audit results offer complete reassurance. Every DBS and DVLA check we process is underpinned by verified systems, rigorous data protection, and continuous oversight.

Our customers benefit from:

  • Independent validation from the DBS and DVLA.

  • Proven security and accuracy in all application and data-handling processes.

  • Confidence that their checks are being completed by trusted, compliant providers.

Looking Ahead

Compliance isn’t just about meeting today’s standards; it’s about preparing for tomorrow’s. Across the Group, we’re continuing to invest in training, technology and systems that strengthen our infrastructure and maintain our reputation as a trusted partner in safer recruitment and licensing.

These audit results are more than a set of outcomes they’re proof of what can be achieved when a business grows with compliance at its core. Across Personnel Checks and TaxiPlus, we’ve shown that scale doesn’t have to come at the expense of standards.

We’re proud of our people, proud of our customers, and proud to be setting the benchmark for compliance excellence across the industry.
